Solid White Mohair Jacket
Tailored with Holland & Sherry Classic Mohairs suiting, this jacket is a special commission by a groom. The single button jacket has generous lapel and curved jetted pockets. A 100% wool body canvas is used and the drape is slightly softer than other mohair suits we made. A few buttonholes are sewn with orange silk thread to create a distinctive contrast. The convex mother of pearl buttons are our preferred choice for this cream white jacket.
Mohair is shorn from Angora goats and is kwon for its lustre. Its natural wicking properties help to stay cool and dry so this natural fibre is ideal for humid weather. A wool mohair blended fabric holds its shape well and the cloth is durable. Because mohair is receptive to dye, you can find more vibrant and glossy colours in this kind of fabric.
