Tribute to Naples
Hong Kong tailors seldom have a very distinctive cut that is signature of the city. Sometimes you may find similar products because many stores outsource their production to the same workshop. A signature cut requires practice, experience, cooperation between cutting and tailoring. Thanks to the internet we are exposed to more different styles. We often have clients requesting a style of a particular school of tailoring. This time we cut a jacket with four panels resembling the Neapolitan tailoring. The front darts are running all the way down to the hem, resulting in an open quarter at the centre front. The side is cut with a dart from the armhole running through the pocket, giving flare at the sides. The sleeves are constructed without pads and a closed seam construction with visible gatherings.
